These star earring-studs were inspired by the ceiling of the Scrovegni Chapel which is located in Padua, Italy. Painted by Giotto in the early 1300s, I was lucky to see it in person some 700 years later in my early twenties. I studied this little jewel of a chapel at university and I don’t think I’ll ever forget lying unceremoniously on the ground, looking up towards the vaulted ceiling in cosmic wonder. Each is available in three different sizes, and the larger size is also available with a tiny diamond. These studs are sold individually to encourage buyers to mix it up – because no two stars are the same size. Alternatively, you can buy a pair and gift one to a dear friend so that you will always be connected by your stellar studs.
