The Cape Constellations Socks

R220

As above, so below.
These socks are mapped with constellations of stars that can be viewed at night from the Southern Hemisphere. Some of these stellar patterns, like the iconic Southern Cross (Crux), can be viewed from both hemispheres and have been used for centuries to guide ships, inform king’s astrologers and encourage space craft to explore the depths of our universe. One of the constellations – ‘Mons Mensae’ – is the only constellation in the night’s sky named after a geographical location on earth; onse Table Mountain. Not many Capetonians know this and with some luck these socks will be a small part in telling that story, giving locals a twinkle in their eye and a spring in their step.
Size: 8 – 11
